PLANS MILON'S
SESQUICENTENNIAL
1956
The newly organized Milton
Chamber of Commerce is making plans to mark the town
150th year
celebration and home-coming in August 1956 at the organization
meeting held
Thursday night.
Thomas Hughes, president
heads the roster of officers recently elected by the new group.
Vice president is Martin
Black, Mary King Morgan , corresponding secretary, James
Jefferson, recording
secretary, Hammon Davidson, treasure. Directors are Mrs Anna White,
Jack Fisher, Ed Scott,
Jr., Harry Wagamon, George Marshall and Reuben Hudson.
Webb Jefferson, Howard
Carey, John Duiguid were appointed to draw up by-laws. Mrs
Ethel C. Davidson will be
the publicity chairman.
