JANUARY MONSTER SNOW STORM
The
Sunday, January 7, 2018, Salisbury Daily Times posted an
news
article by Carol Vaughn of the Delmarva USA Today Network regard
the
eastern shore Virginia farmers who came to rescue of the
Accomack
Northampton
Electric Co-operative linemen, assisting them getting to
down
power wires using their large, high HP, allwheel drive , farm
tractors
with
snow blades, also clearing the wind blown snowdrifts on the roads and
helping
stranded motorist and trucks on their way. The farmers also
were
called upon to pull out ambulances that were stranded and
transport
the
staff and nurses to the hospital.
In
addition the farmer were kept busy to care for livestock in the
frigid
temperatures
stuck in the waist high snow .
