1956 LEWES HIGH SCHOOL CLASS TO GRADUATE

LEWES HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES 23 SENIORS.

Lewes, Delaware, May 26, 1956

The 23 members of the senior class who will be graduated at the 77th annual commencement

June 8th, announced Dr. Leon H. Ferrin, superintendent. They are; Joyce Baringer,

Edith Carpenter, Phyllis Castle, Patricia Cole, Edgar Downes, Arlynn Hall, Patricia Hill,

Natalie Ingram, Robert Leedom, Barbara Mincy , Alcline Mitchel, Eugene Plummer,

Rose Porter, Melissa Raught, Elizabeth Rice, Jean Richards, J. Harrison Richardson,

Barbara Russell, Jessey Sheppard, Mary Vincent, John A Warrington, Joan White and

Bonnie Lou Wyatt.

Baccalaureate sermon by Dr. William Leishman, pastor, Lewes Presbyterian Church ,

will be Sunday, June3, at the school auditorium at 8 pm.

Dr. William Pennrose, Dean of University of Delaware School of Education, will give an

address before the diplomas are presented by Glenwood Harrington, president of Lewes

Board of Education. Dr. Farrin will present awards fo r scholastic achievement and extra

curricular activities.
