FROZEN SHOULDER

Frozen shoulder holds a misery factor of 8 on a scale of 1 to 10 and

happens when body tissues not normally joined develop in the shoulder

capsule lead to painful tightening of the joint and the loss of movement,

which can last months, even years. It not uncommon after age 60.

The problem is confused with arthritis and treatment is not taken.

Arthritis pain comes and goes but frozen shoulder comes and stays, painful

at nights and loss of movement makes it impossible to reach out.

When symptoms come it is critical to see the doctor , now. The deeper

you get in the inflammation stage the longer is recovery. Treatment consists

of a pain medication, cortisone shots and mainly therapy, that can be painful.

Continuous exercise is necessary for months, even years.
