Miss Virginia Lee
Trader, daughter of Mr. & Mrs Clifford Lee Trader of
Lewes, was
married today to George
Vincent Wood III , son of Dr. and Mrs George Vincent Wood,
Jr., of Millsboro,
Delaware. The wedding was in the Lewes Presbyterian Church,
officiated by The Rev.
Dr. William Leiashman and assisted by Rev. Roy L. Tawes ,
of Milford, an uncle of
the bridegroom.
The bride was given in
marriage by her father, Clifford Lee Trader, a native of
Accomack,
Virginia, son of Charles
Franklin and Ada Belle Pilchard Trader, born 5 December 1904.
Virginia Lee's sister, Mrs
Vincent Davis Wood, was matron of honor and Vincent Davis
Wood was his brothers best
man. Bridesmaids, another sister, Mrs Edna Moore Murphy,
of St Louis, Missouri,
and Marietta Woolyhan, of Wilmington, Sally Moore of Knox.
Pennsylvania, Miss Eddie
May Lupton, Miss Jean Stanbaugh and Miss Elizabeth Ann
Pepper all of Lewes.
Ushers were Otto
Zacharias, Roger Wooleyhan, Paul Gardner, Don Betts, Andy
Scarie and Emile F. Lewis.
Mrs William Thompson
played the wedding music and Miss Irene Ford of Harrington
sang a solo.
A reception was held in the
church social hall. The couple will reside in Schenctady, New
York where Mr. Wood is
associated with the General Electric Company.
