SUSAN NATALIE GRAVES RALEY
A BEAUTIFUL HEART
ONE YEAR AGO FEBRUARY 1

Susan “Sue” Natalie Graves Raley of Lewes, died February 1, 2018 at
her home on Lewes Beach. Sue was born in Milford Hospital to Mitlon
and Elsie Walls Graves of Milton, 12 September 1931. She graduated
Milton High School and attended Harcum Junior College at Bryn Mawr.

In 1953 her father died and she returned home to help her mother manage
the family garment factory. Sue met her husband, Bob, who had rented a
room at her parents Wagoman's Pond front home when he came to Milton to be a manager at Southern States Co- Operative in 1953. After marriage
bob and Sue moved to Lewes and raised three children. Sue was the
honorary mom of tribes of children who came to Lewes Beach summertime’s. Sandy feet, wet bathing suits and wet dogs were always
welcome at her beach house. Sue was a Bridge player and hosted many
card parties.

Preceded in death by her husband of 57 years and her only son, she is
survived by a daughter, Susan Hopkins and her husband, Kenny Hopkins,
a another daughter Peggy Ward, her husband Sherman Ward, also a
grandson, Shane Raley and a granddaughter Natalie Hopkins, also her
daughter in law Jana Moore and her husband Chris Ebank.

She is buried in Odd Fellows Cemetery , Union Street, Milton.
