WILMINGTON VETERANS HOSPITAL CONFERENCE 1932

The Monday March 21, 1931, Wilmington Evening Journal reported many World War
veterans or others of other wars attended a meeting in Strand hall, 24th & Market Street,
Saturday night to further plans for a hearing in Washington, DC, before the U. S. Veterans
Bureau concerning construction of a veteran hospital in or near Wilmington.

Attending were the Commander Walter Berger and Captain John Dugan, welfare officer, of the Wilmington Department of Delaware American Legion, Lewes Zebley and Tom Worth, Veterans Relief Committee, Memorial Post 2084 VFW, Tom Loughrey Post 615 VFW,
Henry Swenson and Dr. John Rutherford, Hospital committee of Wilmington DAV and
R. W. Kramer, of the John Farrell Camp, United Spanish War Veterans.
