Anna Russell was born
Broadkill Hundred 1860 and died 30 April, 1951, age 91, in
Berlin, Worcester County,
Maryland, the wife of Levin L. Dirickson.
In 1860 she and mother
and father were living in home with Willia A and Ann Conwell, her
mother parents in Milton.
In 1880 Anna L., age 20,
was at home in Milton with step mother Mollie Conwell Russell
Mollie's brother, Dr.
Joseph A. Conwell, age 25, was living with them, they had 16 year
old Lydia
Clark, as their servant.
The 1890 census tells us
that Anna married in 1885 at age 26 to Levin Littleton
Dirickson,
living in West Berlin,
Worcester County, Maryland, with two children, Helen Worral and
Conwell
Foreman Russell. Her grave
page list Earle McNeely and Russell Dirickson as children.
Levin Littleton Dirickson,
Jr. born 1860 in Snow Hill, the son of Col. Levin L. and Sarah
Elizabeth Forman
Dirickson. He was a druggist. He died 6 June 1930 in Berlin,
buried in
Buckingham Cemetery
Anna Russell Dirickson is
buried in the Buckingham Cemetery, Worcester County Maryland.
George Washington
Russell, born 1863 in Sussex County, in 1880 was age 17, single,
living in Milton home of
Mollie Russell, step mother. He died in Portland, Oregon, age 29,
June
4, 1892.
William Conwell Russell,
lived a year, born 1865.
Sara Myers 'Sallie'
Russell, daughter of second wife,Mary Jane 'Mollie' Conwell Russell,
born, 11 March,1868, died 20 February 1940, age 72. On 26
December 1888 Sallie married William Hazzard Chandler, Sr., 1866 –
1949. They had two children, William Hazzard Chandler, Jr., 1890
to
1929, died age 39, and
Sarah Priscilla Chandler, 1894 to 1993, died age 99. Sara and
William
are buried in Goshen
Cemetery, Milton. Since 1900 Sara and William lived in
Scranton,
Lackawanna County,
Pennsylvania. Their daughter Sara, married William Leon
Hamilton and they had two sons William Chandler Hamilton, and
Russell Duncan Hamilton. The Chandler
family were owners and
operators of the Milton Chandler Orchards, Mulberry Street.
William
Hazzard Chandler, Jr.,
died 9 July 1929 in Johnson Arkansas. In 1921 he had married
Jesse M.
Bennett and lived in
Scranton. They had daughter Margaret, 1922 to 1957.
