Radium is a chemical
element, Ra 88, is silver white, turns black when it hits air, and
is
radioactive, discovered by
Marie and Pierre Curie in 1898. It is found in uranium and is
not necessary for living
organisms and has adverse effects . It's only use is in nuclear
medicines. Radium releases
radon gas and gamma rays which causes cancer and bone diseases.
